No matter who you are, Leamprov is here for YOU. We believe that improv is at its best when everyone has a seat at the table, and our community thrives when it's made up of diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences.
Different backgrounds, different stories, different people all coming together to create something unique—that’s what makes improv exciting, dynamic, and full of joy. The magic happens when we all come together, sharing laughter, and growing alongside each other.
So, whoever you are, wherever you’re from, whatever your ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or age, Leamprov wants you to be a part of the team! Whether you're a seasoned performer or just curious to give it a go, there’s a place for you.
Let’s build something amazing together, because the more diverse and inclusive our community is, the more fun, bold, and creative our improv becomes! Your voice, your story, and your energy matter—join us in making improv a space for everyone.

Look after and respect the venue and possessions when you are performing or learning.

Respect sexual boundaries, on and off stage.
We are an inclusive group and will not tolerate discrimination of any kind on the basis of race, colour, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression and basis of disability.
Help us to create an environment free from harassment of any kind.
Risky subject matter in scenes, characters with unpleasant viewpoints, and human/society/political issues can be tackled on stage if that is the artistic choice of the group, as long as the scene is to be treated with full emotional intelligence and the themes and moral implications of those viewpoints fully explored in the ongoing story in an intelligent manner.
Please no drug use or excessive drinking before performances or workshops.
We do not tolerate physical abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, bullying, sexual harassment or abuse or harassment of any kind. Anyone who is abusive, bullying or harassing may be asked to leave our venue and may be barred from returning and performing again.
The group has a WhatsApp group to communicate about events. Nobody will be added to the WhatsApp group without their consent. Being in the WhatsApp group does not mean you have consent to message individuals privately, please speak to them beforehand (You will be invited to the WhatsApp group if you attend the workshops).
Please keep posts relevant to Leamprov updates and improvised comedy in general except for the social aspect of where am I? Game.
Ideas or suggestions of future social events are asked to be shared with the social director so they can decide how best to post about it and when, but impromptu socials can be posted by anybody. (impromptu meaning no significant planning is required and the event is happening within the next week or so in this case)
Debate on topics is ok but we ask that everyone is sensitive to other people's views and opinions. Please consider before replying if it is more appropriate to have the conversations in person or 1:1 rather than posting to the group chat. If you have any concerns about what is being posted bring it to the Welbeing Director.
We want all to be able to access our group and aim to break down financial barriers. If a member would like to join or continue to be part of the group but is unable to because of their financial situation, the group will support them with free entry to workshops and jams.
To continue to make the group accessible the directors and members will decide whether to put prices up for workshops and jams. This will only be done if the group is running at a loss. The price is currently £3 per meeting, with the first session being free to encourage new members to try improv for the first time. There is also a membership option with a £10 monthly fee for all workshops which also allows you to vote on company matters.
The festival director will prepare the Leamprov Festivals Calendar for the year which will be discussed and approved at January’s committee meeting.
Each festival Leamprov attends will have a designated lead responsible for overseeing the booking process. Once the festivals for the year are confirmed, roles, responsibilities, and booking procedures will be clearly outlined. The Festivals Director and the director team will provide support as needed.
